Play Station 4...

  • There can be no doubt, the PlayStation 4 is a shiny piece of machinery.

  • The first thing that strikes you is how incredibly small it is.Measuring only about a foot square and 2 inches high, the PlayStation 4 will not take up a huge footprint, especially if you use the bracket which allows you to rest the PS4 on its side.

  • Easy access to the front 2 USB inputs while making the cables in the back hidden from view. In the back is the input for the AC cable, which thankfully does not require a big brick transformer, as well as an Ethernet input and the connector for the optional PlayStation Camera.

  • The wire for the camera is inexplicably heavy gauge again, so you will have some trouble wrestling it into the right position just as you did with the PlayStation Eye.

  • A single HDMI and an optical audio output round out the connections available.

BENDABLE PHONES...

  • Say goodbye to cracked smartphone displays and bulky pockets.

  • Your future smartphone may be able to twist, bend and fold in half– at least that’s what Samsung has in mind.

  • The Korea-based gadget maker recently revealed that it plans to launch smartphones with bendable displays in 2014, followed by fully fold-able phones in 2015.

  • Samsung is also ramping up the pixel count in its smartphone displays. Meaning we could see smartphone displays with resolutions of 3840 x 2160.

GOOGLE FIBER...

  • Google Fiber is an Internet and television service provided by Google itself, and plans range from 5Mbps all the way to a blistering fast 1Gbps (or 1,000Mbps).

  • The average internet speed in US is around 7MB/s, but the efforts of Google Fiber will try to increase it till 1000MB/s which is 1GB/s.

  • 1080p movie can download in about five minutes – that’s incredibly impressive.

  • Currently, Kansas City (both Missouri and Kansas) and their surrounding suburbs are the only areas in the U.S. with Google Fiber up and running.

  • However, Austin, Texas and Provo, Utah are officially on the list to get Fiber in the future. As for other cities, we don’t know what Google has planned for expanding their Fiber network, but we should expect more cities to receive it in the future.

TRANSPARENT PHONE...

  • A Taiwanese company claims to have developed a gen-next transparent mobile phone which it says will be in the market by the year end.
  • The company  has already begun marketing a transparent multi-touch phone. Its prototype uses a "Switchable Glass" technology.
  • That is a conductive Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) using liquid crystal molecules to display images, the 'Daily Mail' reported.

  • When the phone is in off mode, the molecules align to form a milky composition, but when switched on they re-align to form text, icons, and other images.
  • Electric current is carried through transparent wires.
  • The device still contains some parts that are not transparent, including a SD card and SIM card. The microphone, camera, and batteries are also visible, and will be hidden behind a dark glass cover when the model goes into production.
